EU ministers likely to delay decision on Ukraine association deal, Posted on LSE

BRUSSELS (Alliance News) – EU foreign ministers are expected to delay a decision Monday on establishing closer ties with Ukraine, according to EU diplomats, giving Kiev 10 days to meet the bloc’s demands ahead of the summit at which the deal was to be signed. Postponing the go-ahead, which had been expected at talks in Brussels, would send a “powerful message” to Ukraine ahead of the November 28-29 summit in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius, one diplomat said on condition of anonymity. Law360, New York (October 21, 2013, 6:44 PM ET) — A software company waited too long to sue the government for allegedly violating its patents by using an inventory-tracking system at the U.S. Department of Defense developed by Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., a federal judge ruled Friday, granting Northrop Grumman’s dismissal bid. Indian firms create 75 Dublin jobs, Posted on Belfast Telegraph

Jobs Minister Richard Bruton made the announcements in Bangaloreduring a five-day trade and investment mission to India. Aditi Technologies, a technology services company, is to open its European Services and Business Development Centre in Dublin with the creation of 40 local jobs. And Synowledge – which specialises in the drug safety and regulatory affairs services for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device sectors – is establishing its international headquarters in the capital, creating 35 high-quality jobs. Pursuant to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), the U.S. Department of State Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) has issued a revised Statement of Registration (DS-2032) form and now allows it to be filed electronically. The registration form retains its basic structure, but DDTC requires more detailed ownership information than it did previously. Registration and the New DS-2032 Form. Under the ITAR, “any person who engages in the United States in the business of either manufacturing or exporting defense articles or furnishing defense services is required to register with [DDTC] [emphasis added].”  [Read More…]
