Who organizes this conference?
Women in International Trade & Sanctions is organized by C5 Group as part of its Economic Sanctions Global Series. C5 Group produces conferences, events and roundtables that provide business intelligence and professional development for senior decision-makers addressing complex legal, regulatory and compliance challenges.
What is the conference about?
Women in International Trade & Sanctions is a one-day forum dedicated to advancing female leadership, compliance excellence and global impact in international trade, economic sanctions and export controls. The program combines substantive discussion of global regulatory and enforcement developments with practical guidance on leadership, influence, career progression and professional networking.
Where and when will the conference take place?
The conference will take place on 11 November 2026 at The Clermont London, Charing Cross, located on the Strand in London. It is scheduled immediately before C5’s London Forum on Global Economic Sanctions, allowing participants to attend the event independently or continue the conversation across both programs. Accommodations will be available at The Royal Horseguards and One Whitehall Place.
Who should attend?
The conference is designed for women working in international trade, economic sanctions, export controls, anti-financial crime, legal, risk and compliance roles. It will be particularly valuable for sanctions leads, trade compliance counsel, export control professionals, heads of sanctions and AML, legal counsel, risk and controls leaders, compliance executives and other professionals seeking to strengthen their technical expertise, leadership influence and professional network.

Sessions will also examine artificial intelligence in sanctions compliance, model governance, cross-border data constraints, leadership development, strategic networking, career progression and mentorship.
What will attendees learn?
Attendees will gain practical strategies for managing fragmented sanctions regimes, changing enforcement expectations and the convergence of export controls, customs, tariffs and supply-chain risk. They will also explore how advanced analytics and large language models are affecting screening, due diligence and network-risk detection while creating challenges involving explainability, data lineage, hallucination risk and regulatory assurance.
The leadership-focused sessions will help participants build influence beyond technical expertise, navigate senior career pathways, strengthen visibility in high-stakes roles and learn from the experiences of mentors, mentees and established leaders.
