The average tariff ceiling for agriculture products will be 10.8 per cent, while those for manufactured goods will be 7.3 per cent. Russia will have to remove all quantitative restrictions on imports, such as quotas, bans, permits, prior authorization and licensing requirements that are incompatible with the WTO. Russia has agreed to make all of its health & safety regulations compliant with the WTO Agreement on Sanitary and Phyto-Sanitary Measures. Also, technical regulations, standards and certification requirements will be aligned with WTO Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade.

While changes brought by WTO membership are waiting to be announced, further steps of Russia's, Belarus' and Kazakhstan's Customs Union integration which goes in line with EurAsES development are on the way. C5's Anti-Corruption Forum — West Africa Edition

The Western African region (including Nigeria, Ghana, the Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon) is characterised as much for its rampant corruption and bribery as it is for its abundance of natural oil and gas resources. This high perceived risk acts as a big deterrent in the way of foreign direct investment in the region and from those investment that are made, very little of it benefits the local general economy. The risks of investing and operating in this region are heightened by the implementation of the tough new UK Bribery Act and the continued aggressive enforcement of the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act ("FCPA") particularly in West Africa.

As a recent example, in January 2012, as a result of US Department of Justice investigations under the FCPA, Japanese conglomerate Marubeni Corp. agreed to pay US $54.6 million in criminal fines for its role in the Bonny Island scandal to win billions of dollars of contracts by bribing Nigerian government officials.

Adding to these international compliance pressures company's must keep abreast of existing and pending regional anti-corruption and bribery legislative frameworks across West Africa. Although enforcement of these regimes remains an issue in many West African countries, Nigeria has demonstrated a willingness to cooperate with international authorities in prosecutions against the members of the TKSJ joint venture.

The liberalization of international trade regulation and the accession of Russia into the WTO are designed to increase cargo turnover of Russian ports and significantly influence development of the entire port industry.

According to the Ministry of Transport, cargo turnover in Russian seaports is expected to grow by 46% by 2016 compared to 2010 and will total 770 million tons. However, according to estimations, the capacity of Russian seaports by 2016 will amount to only 15% of the total reserve. As a result, market participants face the problem of balancing the development of the entire logistics infrastructure in order to increase the turnover capacity of the transport sector.
